Holy Island - Lindisfarne

The priory was founded in 634 CE, most notably in its history in 793 CE a Viking raid destroyed much of the priory and sent shivers through the Christian West. This event is often referred to as the start of the 'Viking Age'. If you're a Viking history buff then this is a place you will heard of many times, so go see it yourself!
