Großsteingräber im Giersfeld

The „Steingräberweg“ is a trail which connects several megalithic tombs, which date back to about 3500-2800 B.C. there are several impressive megalithic graves and also some burial mounds. Along the trail leading through pine woods and heathlands there are impressive remains of what used to be up to 14m long grave chambers, some of the capstones are still in place. It is The trail is easily and freely accessible from the car park of the nearby golf club and is suitable for a short stroll or a longer hike.
