À propos de Kirkhead Tower
A 19th Century folly castle was built on top of Kirkhead fell by the Cavendish family of Holker Hall to add more romanticism to the landscape. It was used as a summer house for the family to have dinner and look at the views over Morecambe Bay. Although this is a popular spot for dog walkers the Cavendishes have used lock down to press their claim that this is private land so probably best to ask permission. Can be accessed through a farm gate from a cul de saq off Kirkhead Road. Walking to the top of the hill is worth it to see the beautiful views.
