Trøllkonufingur

Only free accessible viewpoint to the 313m high rock formation called Trøllkonufingur. Translated to "Witches Finger", it's saga tells about a witch trying to pick up the Faroe Islands and throw them to Iceland. She slipped and fell down the cliffside, petrifying as she hit the ocean water. The rock formation is supposed to be her petrified finger still sticking out. To get there is a 30-45 min hike from a parking spot, not very scenic, since its basically still the road for some houses there, but with a beautiful view on Sandavágur, Miðvágur and the island Koltur. Although, if you're feeling lazy you can just drive all the way up as far as you can with your car and then walk only 3-5 min. I often did that to just get to this place, have a lunch snack and enjoy the peace and view.
