À propos de Burneside Hall
Richard De Bellingham married Margaret De Burneside and to celebrate his new found lands rebuilt the Hall in the Manor with a 14th century Solar tower. This tower house is one of the last vestiges of this old medieval Hall, but is is also unique in that it still retains part of its barmkin wall and Gatehouse which may date to the 17th C. There is also evidence of a manorial fishpond. It is now incorporated into a working farm so it is best to ask permission before entering but can be photographed from the road.
